Cornelia Böhm has been working as a freelance sound designer, foley recordist, re-recording mixer and production sound engineer since 2012. After a start in art studies, film and media theory, her focus shifted to sound in theory and practice during her studies at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. This was followed by internships and work shadowing in radio drama (SWR) and film post-production (e.g. Bavaria Musikstudios).

She designed the soundtracks of documentary, hybrid and feature films, which were well received at important festivals, e.g. A SOUND OF MY OWN (Golden Dove DOK Leipzig), LIFE IS NOT A COMPETITION, BUT I’M WINNING (Venice Film Festival), HIS PARENTS and SKILL ISSUE (both Locarno Film Festival).

She was a guest lecturer for field recording at the HfG Offenbach and regularly teaches at the HFF Munich.
She is particularly passionate about atmospheric films with a strong personal signature and/or artistic works about complex, socially relevant topics.

Own Equipment:
5.1 Studio with Pro Tools and Ableton Live, own sound library, important plug-ins, equipment for field recording (including LOM Geofón) and foley recording
